Frequently Asked Questions
Is my 3D file or CAD geometry uploaded to any remote server?
No. microplugins 3D Viewer operates 100% inside your browser sandbox. All file parsing, mesh triangulation, shader compilation, and rendering happen locally on your device via WebGL 2 and WebAssembly. Your model files never leave your device.
Can I measure distances and inspect part dimensions?
Yes. The built-in 3D measurement tool calculates accurate Euclidean point-to-point distances across model vertices, surfaces, and edges in millimeters, centimeters, inches, and meters.
Do I need to install CAD software or browser plugins?
No installation or plugins are required. microplugins 3D Viewer runs directly in any modern browser supporting WebGL 2.0 on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
What is microplugins?
