About MicroPlugins
Small tools. Big respect for your files.
MicroPlugins makes free web apps that do one job well and run entirely in your browser. No uploads, no accounts, no clutter.
Why MicroPlugins exists
Most online tools ask you to upload your file before they will help. That is a strange deal for a 3D model of an unreleased product, a building plan or a client’s design.
It is also no longer necessary. Today’s browsers run heavy software through WebAssembly and put your graphics chip to work through WebGL. A browser tab can now open a CAD assembly, convert it and hand you the result without the file ever leaving your device.
So that is what we build: tools that bring the software to your file, instead of taking your file to the software.

What we believe
Six rules every MicroPlugins tool follows
Your files are yours
Every tool processes files on your device. We never receive, store or look at them.
One job, done well
Each tool focuses on a single task and does it properly, without menus full of extras you will never use.
Free to use
No watermarks, no sign-up walls and no “upgrade to download” surprises at the last step.
Honest about limits
If a conversion will drop materials or animation, the tool tells you before you download, not after.
Fast and light
Pages load quickly, and heavy parsers load only when you open a file that needs them.
Open where it counts
The 3D engine is open source under the MIT licence, so anyone can check how files are handled.
What we make
Starting with 3D, growing one tool at a time
3D Tools is our first category because 3D and CAD files are exactly the kind people should not have to upload: large, valuable and often confidential.
Open any 3D or CAD file in seconds and inspect every part of it.
Convert 3D models into the format your next tool needs.
Make GLB and glTF files small enough to load fast on the web.
In development
- Calculator
- Video Editor
- WordPress Plugins
Why “MicroPlugins”?
A plugin adds one capability to something bigger. MicroPlugins are small, single-purpose apps you can plug into your day, and, through our open-source web component, into your own website too.
Small also describes how we like to build: fast pages, few dependencies and no features that exist only to fill a pricing table.
