Privacy policy

1. Who we are

MicroPlugins (“we”, “us”) runs the website microplugins.app and the tools on it. You can reach us at microplugins@gmail.com.

2. Files you open with our tools

Every MicroPlugins tool processes files inside your web browser, on your own device. When you open, view, measure, convert or compress a file:

• the file is read by your browser and processed in its memory;
• no part of the file, its name or its contents is sent to us or to anyone else;
• any output file is created on your device and saved directly to it.

One exception you control: if you load a model or an environment image by typing or pasting a web address, your browser requests that file directly from the address you gave. The server at that address receives the request, and its own privacy policy applies.

3. Information we collect

Server logs

When your browser requests a page, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information needed to deliver it: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser’s user agent. This is used only to serve the site, keep it secure, prevent abuse and fix problems. We do not use it to build profiles or to identify you, and we do not combine it with other data.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to help with your request. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we keep the conversation only for as long as we need it.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for or store names, accounts, passwords, payment details, location or device identifiers. We do not use analytics, advertising, fingerprinting or tracking pixels.

4. Cookies and browser storage

MicroPlugins does not set cookies. The tools save a few items in your browser’s local storage so they work the way you left them. These stay on your device and are never sent to us:

You can delete all of it at any time through your browser’s settings for site data.

5. Third parties

The site loads no third-party scripts, fonts or widgets. Everything, including fonts and file parsers, is served from microplugins.app. The only other party involved is our hosting provider, which processes the server log data described above on our behalf. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; their privacy practices are their own.

We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone.

6. Legal basis

Where data protection law such as the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process server log data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website, and we process emails you send us in order to respond to your request.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we hold almost nothing, most requests can be answered quickly. Email microplugins@gmail.com. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law.

8. Children

MicroPlugins is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS only, uses a strict Content Security Policy and loads no third-party code. Because your files never reach us, they cannot be exposed by a breach of our systems.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, for example by adding privacy-friendly analytics, we will update this page before the change takes effect and revise the date at the top.
