Questions about the tools
Are all MicroPlugins tools free?
Yes. Every tool on this page is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermarks and no daily limits.
What is the difference between the 3D Viewer and the format viewer pages?
They are the same viewer. Each format page adds tips and answers for one file type, such as STEP or STL. Whichever page you use, you can open any supported format.
Can I convert between formats that are not listed here?
Yes. The 3D Converter accepts any format the viewer opens and exports GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, PLY or USDZ. The pages above are shortcuts for the most common conversions.
Which browsers do the tools work in?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, Android and iOS. The 3D tools need WebGL 2 and WebAssembly, which all of these support.
